Brief: Phil and Sue moved into this pretty flint cottage with a plan for doing something exciting with both the garden and the house. The build project involved renovating and reconfiguring the whole house to create a modern country living experience. The main focus was to replace the existing conservatory with something more usable and stylish.
Outcome: The desire to create a Japanese inspired garden, by turning the small swimming pool into a landscaped carp and wildlife pond, fuelled the design ideas for the extension. We created a projecting Japanese-influenced roof, incorporating the striking copper with added practical shading. The end result was an impressive, light-filled space that beautifully merged the indoors with the outdoors; a demonstration of how modern materials and contemporary design can break down the barriers between house and garden for a harmonious country life.
Testimonial: I would recommend Philip 100% he has been a joy to work with. He’s always been very committed to our project and to us. He’s always been their for us as well as challenging us with what we want to do and being superb at the detail. I can’t recommend him enough.
